U.S. customs is tightening low-value e-commerce controls. CBP’s June 24 interim final rule suspends the postal de minimis exemption and establishes new entry requirements. Filers must provide descriptions, origin, 10-digit HTSUS classifications, value, and duty data. Certain PGA, Chapter 98/99, and FTA claims require formal entry after the October 22 compliance date.
