• Panama Canal: Draught restrictions are reducing payload flexibility. Industry estimates indicate delays of up to 10 days and roughly 1.7 million TEU: about 5% of global container capacity: effectively sidelined. Current restrictions require closer routing and inventory planning.

• Bremerhaven: A confirmed 24-hour strike begins August 18, suspending terminal handling and truck and rail slots. Terminal advisories recommend immediate schedule adjustments.

The federal court’s administrative stay blocks DHS from receiving a nationwide CDL database covering approximately 17 million drivers while litigation proceeds. Meanwhile, Q2 cargo-theft losses reached $304.6 million, up 125% year over year, as criminals targeted technology, metals, and data-center equipment.
