What would CBP’s supply-chain visibility proposal require?

CBP’s ANPRM seeks comment on heightened disclosures: importers could need to identify every party, use technical tools to trace goods, and produce export records filed with foreign customs. The June 3 Executive Order 14411 directs foreign business identifiers and production details, and tells CBP to leverage CTPAT against illicit or transshipped cargo.

Why are air and ocean freight signals diverging?

Air is firming as ocean cools: Freightos put Far East–North America air at $7.76/kg, a 2026 high, as West Coast labor talks face a Nov. 4 deadline; a stoppage would push urgent cargo into an already-tight air market.
